Poster Design Competition

To create the feeling of celebration, we chose the traditional ‘papel picado’, tissue paper flags used as decorations during any fiesta. Each banner has its own cut-out motifs that embellish the word it carries, using the exclamation mark instead of the ‘i’ to evoke memories of the Spanish language. The colorful flags are swinging in the starry sky, creating a movement that announces the 27th San Diego Latino Film Festival!
